NEW MEN'S COLLECTION
MAY 16, 2013
The new MSGM menswear collection for winter 2013 centers on sport and military.
Camouflage prints for bombers and K-ways, jacquards for mohair sweaters.
The Sweatshirt theme is taken to the limits with new shapes and innovative combinations; quilting, Neoprene, prints, non-woven fabrics with Nappa leather, infiltration with patchwork knits.
The transformation of sweatshirts that become puffer jackets in padded nylon.
Prints are the protagonists. Indistinct rose and Paisley designs are scratched and pixelated. Stripes and geometric squares create new futuristic and multicolor checks.
The tartan theme goes from checked wool flannels with a distinct traditional feel, to a geometric check/stripe on a wool fabric.
Maxi bi-color intarsia lozenges and multicolor jacquard Argyles for wool and alpaca knitwear.
Followed by stripes…. Printed onto padded technical fabrics and chenille, PVC heat sealed onto shirts and coats, also used for oversized fisherman’s rib knit sweaters.
The printed shirt is the latest form of t-shirt, in oxford or pinstripe fabrics. Trousers are slim fitting and ankle length with a cuff, or combat style with cartridge belt, in moleskin or fine corduroy.
For the evening, brocade suits with lozenge patterns or lightweight wool with flower and stripe jacquards, plus dress shirts worn with printed bow ties.
Color palette; light blue, Bordeaux and shell pink are the predominating colors with camel, brick and military green. And everywhere: white.BACK
